Terms and Conditons

We guarantee that all animals are honestly represented, feeding, properly sexed, and outwardly healthy. All animals for sale are captive bred here. Please report any problems or concerns to us as soon as possible. We take great pride in our animals, as well as our customer service, and we would much rather address husbandry or health questions before problems arise than after. All animals will come with a full history, unique ID, care sheet, and all info on lineage etc.

Shipping:

We ship within the continental US.  Presently we cannot ship internationally.  All shipments are sent out Monday through Wednesday (For delivery Tues – Thurs), via UPS or Fedex overnight. Live animals are properly packaged, in insulated boxes, with appropriate heat packs as needed.  We guarantee live arrival and health for 7 days, as long as someone is home to personally accept the package.  Alternatively the package can be held at the nearest Fedex location for pick up within one hour of arrival. A signature is required for delivery. Guarantees apply when temperatures along the route  are between 32 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit.   Shipping guarantees may still apply below these temperatures at my discretion.  Shipping in hot weather can be particularly difficult, and may require some patience. We reserve the right to delay shipment due to extreme weather at our discretion. Same day shipping direct to your airport is also an option for large orders. We are happy to hold prepaid animals until the weather is acceptable for shipping safely. Any problems must be reported within 1 hour of delivery time. Deaths must be verified with photographic evidence and reported immediately for replacement or refund.

Regardless of previous arrangements, We will contact you within 24 hours of shipping out your animals. We MUST hear back from you the day before shipping live animals, to confirm that you are expecting the shipment, and will be present for delivery. If we do not here back from you, we will not ship your order! A phone number and email address are required from anyone having animals shipped to them. 

Payment:

All orders must be paid in full before shipping. Paypal sent to zach_whitman@hotmail.com is the preferred method of payment. We also accept personal checks and money orders, if you want to wait for them to clear. Cash is preferred for expos and local sales.  For orders over $2000 ask us about our payment plans.

We advertise our animals for what we consider a fair market value.  We work very hard to provide high quality animals, and we believe that they are worth their asking price.  We do not sell disposable pets, and with reptiles, you generally get what you pay for.  ALL ADVERTISED PRICES ARE FIRM.  Discounts on multiple animal purchases, or for repeat customers, may be considered at our discretion.

We do occasionally consider trades.  Our interests are very varied, so feel free to offer us what you have.  The worst we can say is No!  We only accept healthy, high quality animals.  We require clear pictures of the actual animals, and we do not ship first in trades.  We can provide many references.

Wait Lists:

We do not keep waiting lists or take deposits for animals that have not been produced. We do keep email notification lists. This means that when animals become available (or just before) I send out emails to everyone on the list at the same time. Orders are filled in the order that they are received. Please feel free to ask to be put on the notification list for any of our projects.

Rarely, for some animals in high demand or with very limited availability, we may send out individual emails in the order in which people were put on the list. You will be notified of this beforehand, and you will have 24 hours to respond before mass emails and advertisements begin to go out.

Once animals have hatched (born/ metamorphed/ etc.) and been sexed (where possible) we will begin to accept deposits to hold specific animals. All deposits are non refundable unless we fail to produce the animal desired.

Normally we cannot hold animals without payment. There are simply too many people on the internet who appear interested, ask for lots of information, and then disappear. If you are seriously interested in an animal, and are in the process of discussing the purchase details, we will give you the courtesy of letting you know if someone else is trying to buy it out from under your nose. We make every effort to be fair to customers by dealing with everyone in the order in which they contact us, however the bottom line is this: No animal is yours until payment is received!

Misc:

We will always accept back any animal that we have produced. If you no longer want to keep an animal, and cannot find it an acceptable new home, please DO NOT RELEASE it, euthanize it, or neglect it. Call us, or find a local reptile rescue.

It is the responsibility of the buyer to know your own local laws and regulations.

There will be no sales to minors without parental consent. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age.

Our animals are kept in our home, and we usually do not allow people to visit the collection. Rare exceptions are by appointment only.  If you are local to Fort Collins/Denver/Boulder, we are happy to meet you someplace to make exchanges.

If we have snakes that are feeding well on live prey, but wont take frozen, we will often sell them at a reduced price.  There are usually a few of these available each year, so if you have a reliable supply of live pinkies, please ask about these.  “Out of egg” discounts for experienced keepers may be available at my discretion only. Inquire if you are interested. Out of egg sales come with no guarantees.

A note on baby anthill pythons: These snakes are extremely tiny when they hatch and we do not believe that they can be probed safely or accurately. All baby anthills are sexed by “popping”. This is fairly accurate, but mistakes are possible. We ask that all buyers re-sex their snakes as soon as they are large enough to probe. If there are any problems we will work with you to make sure you end up with the correct sexes that you ordered. We do not sell anthill pythons until they have eaten whole pinkies at least 6 times, voluntarily, and without tricks like braining or scenting. This ensures that you are getting a problem free snake.

All of the previous conditions apply to every sale unless other arrangements are specifically agreed upon in advance.
